Meddling in Quebec election is the PM's duty

The reaction by Quebec separatists to Stephen Harper's comment that he hopes a federal party forms the next Quebec government is astounding. These spoilt brats who would tear this country apart are telling the Prime Minister to keep quiet about it. Who the hell do they think they are!
Since Trudeau and Mulroney gave Canada to Quebec the rest of Canada has been mute and tonque tied about Separatism. Its the Prime Minister's duty to speak out about this in order that Quebeckers fully understand what they are voting for when they cast a ballot for the provincial Pequists.

I Speak for Myself

My blood starts to boil every time I read something written with the assumption that all its readers agree with the content. These articles never even acknowledge that there might be other opinions, let alone include them.
A recent piece I read concerned the anointing of Justin Trudeau. The writer wrote as if Justin's father Pierre had been the best thing for Canada short of sliced bread. No acknowledgement that to over half of this country, Pierre was the worst nightmare Canada ever had.
Perre Trudeau was the first silver spoon socialist to rise to power appealing to the rebellious "me, me," boomers of the late sixties and seventies. His 'thumbing of his nose' at the establishment and comments about free love were very persuasive and hid his totalitarian agenda, which did not become apparent until much later.
Perre Trudeau used 'orders in council' as the main means of governance, bypassing parliamentary debate until they were a 'fait accompli' and required too much time and effort to counteract. He rammed the patriation of the constitution through in just two years, sticking us with unnaccountable rule by the judiciary and laid the groundwork which allowed Canada to be governed by two of the biggest crooks in Canadian history, Mulroney and Chretien.
Pierre Trudeau gave Canada to Quebec with assymetrical powers over language, immigration and education. This has led to the unfettered third world invasion of Canada while entry into Quebec is controlled; language laws which disenfranchise unilingual english speakers and education which emphasizes the politically correct over common sense.
Whoever wrote that article on Justin Trudeau's annointment should have at the very least acknowledged that his father was not universally worshipped.

Dirty Hidden Canadian War?

I am very interested in history and recently started reading about the 'French Indian War' of the 1750's in North America. It all started with a long out of print historical novel found in a used book store. I forget the title and the author but it was my first real introduction to this 'French Indian' war that I had not heard about before. It had tales of scalpings, kidnappings and atrocities endured by all protagonists during this era. It was my first awareness of the awful bounty on white scalps introduced by the French to entice their aboriginal allies to attack the English settlements from the Ohio to New England during the 1750's. A woman's scalp was worth more than a man's.
Anyway, I wondered why this was new to me, since I have been an avid student of history for most of my life. Certainly this war was not taught in any Canadian school I attended. During some rummaging around in used book stores I came across some Canadian school history books from the 1890's. Now here was the 'French Indian' War in all its dirtiness culminating with the English victory at Quebec in 1759 and the Pontiac uprisings of 1763.
I started picking up used Canadian school history books and lo and behold by the 1940s the 'French Indian' War had become the European Seven Years War with only cursory mention of its importance to North American history. By the 1960's the Seven Years War itself had dissappeared completely from Canadian history books with only its importance to European history mentioned.
This war which lasted for nearly a generation in the mid 1700's and involved nearly every white settler and aboriginal native had become invisible, fallen prey to the politically correct revisionists who whitewash history.

French Quebeckers are rude.

French Quebeckers are the rudest people on earth. The other day I was in a restaurant in Toronto and a group of eight people came in. There were only two empty tables on opposite sides of the restaurant so the group split in two, with four sitting at the table beside me. The group obviousely worked for the same company and were in Toronto for some seminar. Three of thepeople at the table beside me were bilingual French Quebeckers and the fourth was an English speaker only from somewhere in the maritimes. The three Quebeckers totally ignored their english speaking companion and conversed only in French, excluding him completely. At first the Maritimer seemed bemused and even attempted some conversation. Then, when he was ignored he became embarrassed. The three Quebeckers continued in pretended ignorance of their companion's discomfort. I could not resist making a comment to my companion about how rude these Quebeckers were. I made the comment loud enough to be heard throughout the restaurant and you could have heard a pin drop in the silence that followed, until one of the three quebeckers became embarassed and started offering apologies to the Maritimer.

Double Standards

Canada has become the epitome of the double standard. Aboriginals are allowed to occupy disputed land and terrorize people with impunity (Caledonia), non-aboriginals are arrested without cause (Caledonia again). Unilingual Quebec, bilingual Canada (force feed the best jobs to Quebeckers). Blind eye to private health care in Quebec, but rase hell about it in Ontario and Alberta. Question global warming and be treated like a Holocaust denier, yet question United States policy and be treated like a hero. I could go on but I think you get my drift.
